We Chose the name Restoration Fellowship Church with a sense of purpose and intentionality. We believe that all of us, no matter where we may be in our spiritual journey, We all need some kind of restoration. It may be in the area of our home and family, in relationships with others, in our well-being, in our financial circumstances, in our physical bodies, or in some other area of our lives . . . We all need some kind of restoration!!!
This is a safe place for you to experience restoration. This is a place to find a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and to grow in your relationship with Him.
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor Jay Ahlemann came to Restoration Fellowship Church when it was a small group of 40 people meeting in a hotel in Winchester in July of 2011. The Ahlemanns were pastoring in Central Florida after having served many years in pastoral ministry. The Ahlemanns started a brand new congregation in Northern Virginia in February of 1977, Christian Fellowship Church. They served the church for 26 years and when they left in December of 2002, this church had grown to an average weekend attendance of 3,ooo, the largest church in Loudoun County. Pastor then served as the Senior Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, California. This was the home church of Dr. James Dobson for more than 30 years. God has always used Pastor and Pat to see churches experience dynamic spiritual growth! Pastor Jay has now served more than 50 years in pastoral ministry.
Executive Associate Pastor Scott Priest has been a dear friend of the Ahlemanns for many years. They first met Pastor Scott when he was 19 years of age in Bible College. He served as the Youth Pastor on the ministry staff for a number of years at Christian Fellowship Church when Pastor Jay was the Senior Pastor. He also served as the Executive Associate pastor with Pastor Jay in Pasadena, California. He started a new church, Restored Life Fellowship, in Monrovia, California, in 2005 and was there until he jined us here at Restoration Fellowship Church in 2015. Pastor Scott has a passion for reaching people with the love of Jesus and seeing them experience the grace of God in their lives as a way of life.
For over 16 years, Kristy has served the body of Christ in the role of Children's Ministry Director. She has also served as Women's Ministry Director. She believes deeply in building the Kingdom of God by creating community and facilitating a warm, inclusive environment.
In her role as Children's Ministry Director, Kristy has a lot of energy and does a great job not only relating to the kids, but equipping and encouraging her volunteers, too. She delights in empowering and supporting parents in their God given task of laying a biblical foundation in which to nurture their children. She desires to come alongside parents to help children know how wonderful Jesus Christ is and to love him and follow him all their days! Kristy sees children as the church of today and the church leadership of tomorrow and is therefore dedicated to developing young leaders and duplicating herself in others.
Adam has been a great addition since he joined our team. He heads up our media department and is a "jack of all trades" around here. He loves to laugh and have fun, while still knowing how to take charge and get things done. Adam has really stepped up into His role of leadership here to blend a contemporary feel into our traditional church. He really values both spectrums and wants to make both come together for everyone to Worship our Christ!
Sally plays piano & sings on the Praise Team. She also prints out music & bulletins and prepares a devotional for our Worship Team each week.
Restoration Fellowship Church felt like home the first time Tammy and her family walked into the door. A mother of three, she met her husband while working together in music ministry. Although holding a graduate degree in Biology and subsequently working as a research scientist, she has been actively involved in music and church ministry since her youth. She deeply values corporate worship and the body of Christ. InnerState 81 was born from this value, which strives to increase community for an age group that is often diverse.
Elaine directs the many volunteers and programs of Restore Hope House. This ministry helps needy families in our area through food distribution, clothing, & in a variety of other ways. Elaine had her first grandson, JR, this year and is found visiting with him as often as possible!
Pastor Fred reaches out to those who are in need of a Pastor due to illness or strife. He also sings on our Worship Team & leads our Seniors Ministry.
Michelle prayerfully chooses our worship music each week and leads everyone in worship on Sundays. She has a heart for excellence before our King! She also leads the Choir and other musical groups to do special songs each week.
David directs the weekly meetings of our Jesus Followers Groups which seek to help members in their walk with the Lord so that they can in turn help others in their walk. David can also be found playing keyboard in our Praise Band!
Pastor Fisher leads our Korean Church every Sunday at 1pm. He also sings in our Freedom Choir. His heartfelt prayers in Korean touch our hearts during our 11am service which he also attends with his family.
Pastor Jose leads our Spanish Congregation every Sunday afternoon. He reaches out to the Spanish community in our area and we have seen many come to know Jesus and be baptized in this congregation!
